Paolo has worked as tactical media artist in various fields: net-art, street-art, video-art, public-art, marketing-art, software-art and interaction-design. In the 2009 he won the European Media Artists in Residence Exchange, and in the 2008 the second prize at the Transmediale festival in Berlin. He displayed his works at National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens - Courtauld Institute, London - HMKV, Dortmund - MOCA, Tapei - NTT ICC, Tokyo - Ars Electronica, Linz - etc..

Recently, Paolo is interested in the city as a stage for actions in public space interconnected with social media. Specifically, he would research how this combination can produce alternative realities, and new narratives in which audience can participate. This research resulted in two participative cross-media storytelling projects that he recently did and in the establishment of a theory about his form of spectacle called 'Recombinant Fiction'.
