Nikolaus Gansterer

The first resident of timelab is the in Vienna based artist Nikolaus Gansterer. The work of Nikolaus consists and spreads from music to science and from philosophy to visual art. With his visual work Nikolaus Gansterer  attempts to create processes of invisibility. In his installations, we can see how he translates processes arising from cultural and scientific networks into an artistic context. His work consists of creating new connections out of the differences between culture and science, differences that lead to the questioning of the imaginary threshold between nature and culture, religion, art and civilization. Examples of his work: The Vegetable Orchestra, Trans Acoustic Research and Property Research Lab. Nicholas is connected as a resident in timelab throughout the year 2010.
